London Market technology provider, MI Ltd, is our largest
acquisition to date. With 27,000 users of its system across 2,000
commercial and personal lines brokers, Open GI has around 40% of
the UK broker market and has built strong partnerships with all
major insurers. It also safeguards one of our main strategic IT
platforms. Open is related to Towergate through common
shareholders.
PowerPlace
PowerPlace is a revolutionary proposition for insurance brokers.
It provides electronic access to multiple markets allowing
electronic broking and policy fulfillment using Open Trader
software. Fully intergrated with Open GI back office software users
can take advantage of the single key multi market proposition with
price and cover comparisons. Non-Open GI users can access through
an extranet version.
PowerPlace for most users avoids the need for re-keying of data
and provides multiple quotes from leading underwriters and
automatically populates the broker's 'back office' system.
