Towergate supports Kent People’s Trust initiative with £2500 donation

Kent based insurance intermediary Towergate Partnership has donated £2500 to the Kent People’s Trust to support its Safety in Action initiative for young children.

Established in 2000 by a group of public and private organisations, led by Kent Police, the Trust provides financial assistance in the form of grants and loans to groups that are working to improve community safety and reduce crime in Kent.

The two week long Safety in Action initiative supported by Towergate is aimed at 11 year olds before starting secondary school. Towergate’s donation will cover the costs for a trip to Cobham Hall by up to 1800 children from 40 Kent schools. The trip will provide for interactive education sessions from various Trust partners including Kent Police who will cover aspects of safety, drugs and responsibility.

Handing over the donation at the Safety in Action VIP Day, Marc Don Francesco, Head of Marketing at Towergate said, "Doing good is at the very heart of Towergate’s culture. So we are delighted to be working with Kent People’s Trust in supporting this tremendous initiative not just because safety awareness is a good fit with risk and insurance, but the day also encourages responsible citizenship".
