Towergate Underwriting Group achieves Chartered Status

Towergate Underwriting Group today announces that it has achieved the Chartered Insurance Institute’s(CII) award of Chartered Insurer. In doing so, it becomes one of the first underwriting companies to gain Chartered status.

The Charter demonstrates Towergate’s commitment to the highest professional standards and its mandatory approach to professional qualifications. It also creates an environment of continuing professional development and is instrumental in the drive to attract, develop and retain the very best talent.

Towergate has one of the most qualified board of directors in the financial services market, all of whom hold an individual Chartered title.  Towergate Retail was also one of the first Chartered Insurance Brokers and both Underwriting and Retail have already signed up to the Aldermanbury Declaration. Both Chartered titles are an important part of its people development strategy.  

Towergate’s own Business School works very closely with CII to ensure that every one of our insurance people is committed to the Code of Ethics and Conduct and to the highest levels of technical competence and skill.
