Towergate Insurance celebrates 15 year anniversary with 15th acquisition of 2012

Towergate Insurance today announces the acquisition of the non-life insurance business of general insurance brokers Dean and Milward and also of Greaves Adams.

These latest acquisitions mark the completion of 15 acquisitions since the start of 2012 for the Towergate Group and coincide with Towergate celebrating 15 years as a leading organisation in the insurance industry.

Dean and Milward, based in Henley on Thames, is a general insurance broker business created by Richard Dean and David Milward in 1981. The company specialises in predominantly SME business and has some personal lines customers in the Thames Valley area. Towergate Insurance has purchased the non-life arm of the company which will join forces with Towergate’s Didcot office. It will further strengthen Towergate’s presence in the South of England under the leadership of Regional MD, Mark Evans.

Greaves Adams, a general insurance broker based in Portland in Dorset, was founded over 20 years ago by Tony Greaves and his wife Janette. All staff, including Tony Greaves and his son Aaron, will remain with the company and will join the Towergate Insurance office in Poole under the leadership of Regional MD, Stuart Grieb.
