Towergate Insurance announces the appointment of Scott Egan as Group Finance Director

Towergate Insurance today announces the appointment of Scott Egan as Group Finance Director.

Scott Egan will join Towergate, subject to FSA approval, from Brit Insurance Holdings where he has been Group Chief Financial Officer since January 2011.

Commenting on this key appointment, Mark Hodges, Group CEO said today:

Ian Patrick, formerly Group Chief Finance Officer, will be leaving Towergate and I would like to thank him for the part he has played in Towergate’s significant progress since he joined in 2006.

Scott brings impressive executive experience from well-respected and listed companies, and has helped drive strategic change within some of Europe’s largest insurance businesses. His appointment is yet another example of how Towergate is able to attract first class talent as we rise to the challenge of shaping our business to achieve ambitious plans for growth in the coming years.”

Prior to his role at Brit Insurance Holdings, Scott spent 4 years at Zurich, as Group Chief Financial Officer UK, Zurich Financial Services and latterly as Group Financial Controller. Between 1995 and July 2007, Scott held various senior finance roles at Norwich Union, and subsequently Aviva. During this time his responsibilities included Director of Partnerships, Managing Director of RAC before becoming Strategy & Business Development Director Aviva Europe, where he was a member of the Aviva Europe Management Board.
