Towergate Insurance Completes Three Acquisitions

Towergate Insurance today announces the acquisitions of Gill
Knott Insurance, Lloyd Manley Associates and the General Insurance
arm of Airevalley Insurance Services. These three acquisitions
reflect the continuing development of Towergate’s growth
strategy.
Gill Knott Insurance was founded in 1998 and is currently based
in Wellington. The company boasts a strong book of commercial and
personal lines insurance business with clients predominantly based
in the South West of England.
The business will join forces with Towergate’s Taunton office
where it will further strengthen Towergate’s presence in the South
West of England. Managing Director of Gill Knott Insurance, Gill
Shire, will remain with the business reporting to Towergate’s
Regional Managing Director, Nick Hatch.
Lloyd Manley Associates, a business and personal lines broker is
located in Chesterfield and was established over 30 years ago.
John Bateman, Director of Lloyd Manley Associates, will remain
at the helm of the business.
Towergate is perfectly positioned to help increase Lloyd
Manley’s book of business, particularly in the social clubs sector
where they have a particularly strong presence.
Airevalley Insurance Services is the General Insurance arm of
Airevalley Independent Financial Advisors Ltd located in West
Yorkshire, which was founded by John Lohan in 1988.
Towergate has acquired the general insurance portfolio which
will move into the Towergate office in Leeds. The portfolio
includes a well established Honda Goldwing scheme.
